The time has come to gear up for a new academic year! Whether you're a student eagerly awaiting the first day of school or a parent preparing your little ones for their big return, we've got you covered with upcoming back-to-school information and dates you need. So, let's dive in and make this upcoming academic year one to remember!


Meet the Teacher Night - Come meet your teacher(s) and drop off your school supplies at the 2023-2024 Meet the Teacher Night

When: August 14th


New Student Registration (All Grade Levels)

Student registration can be completed 100% online. Visit the Parent Portal for more information.

In-Person Registration

Elgin ISD is offering in-person registration opportunities for those not able to or who need support to register online. All campuses will offer in-person registration two days a week, starting the week of July 10th. Conveniently, parents are able to register all students at one school location. Parents are encouraged to call school registrars ahead and schedule an appointment with the campus. Registrar contact information can be located here.   

Location: All Campuses

Days: Each Tuesday and Thursday (starting the week of July 10th through August 3rd)

Time: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM


The first day of school is August 16th!


Please note a district-wide clear-backpack requirement has been implemented for this school year.
